By combating childhood-juvenile cancer and contributing to the rescue of the citizenship, dignity, and quality of life of its patients and caregivers, Casa Durval Paiva has cared to oncological and hematological cases in the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Ceará, Piauí and Sergipe for more than two decades.

Nowadays, the institution has an average of 80 collaborators specialized in several areas, such as social workers, psychologists, dentists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, pharmaceutists, pedagogues, educative art, and ITs, all of whom make up a multidisciplinary team, as well as volunteers dedicated to the cause.

Essential to the state of health of these people, as well as the coexistence with the familiar problems caused by the disease, the Casa Durval Paiva, aiming to provide the best assistance, developed projects with proposals focused on the humanization and social inclusion of those cared by the Institution.

In Casa Durval Paiva's biography, hundreds of stories can be narrated, some about loss, others about healing. But what prevails is the celebration of life while it exists!
